Description:

Welcome to the homepage for the Yorkshire area of AMOC. We cover a huge expanse of the north of England and are blessed to have some of the most scenic parts of the country right on our doorstep.

We have plenty of opportunities for members to get involved, with regular monthly meetings (generally held on a Tuesday early in the month) and we hold a Sunday lunch later on in the month. Of course the summer months see an increase in activity - but even if the weather's bad come along as there's no requirement to bring your Aston!

The diary section has up to date details of all the events that are confirmed in both date and location, and below you will see a list of "pending" activities so you can reserve any potential dates.

If you've been to one of our events and have some photographs, please feel free to email them to bill.wignall@hotmail.com and they might find their way onto the site.

Finally, we do welcome owners of all ages of cars, from pre-war right through to the new DBS and Vantage V12 (and if anyone's got a One-77 on order please bring it along!)

2011 got off to a good start with twenty three turning up for our first meeting of the year, thank you all for attending. David Elliott arrived in his very recently acquired Vanquish; he had a grin on his face all night. I think he probably came via Scotch Corner, just for the pure enjoyment of it. Long may it last! A special welcome to Richard & Marilyn Bielenica, DBS V12, they have been Members for a few years, but I think this is the first time they have been to one of our gatherings, I hope we will see them again.

There has been no interest in the 3 cars show options, one of which clashed with our own Spring Concours, so we will drop those. I do intend however, to return to the ‘Cars in the Park' at Harewood House in September, I will release information once the date is fixed.

The suggestion of a visit to the ‘Ace Café' has met with support, so we are in the process of trying to fix a date. I will update Members by Email, if you are not on my list, but are interested, let me know and I will communicate as required.

Our April Sunday meet date falls on the Bank Holiday weekend, do you want me to organise something for this day or would you rather we dropped it to allow for family time. Or perhaps there is an event we could all attend, let me know your thoughts and ideas.

I should like to organise another track day at Oulton Park, we only need 10 cars to qualify for the 10% discount. This is open to all Areas, Members friends and Aston and non-Aston cars. If you are interested, let me know and I will circulate possible dates etc.
