Car clubs are joining forces with rental companies by supporting the plight of electric vehicles in order to support this very slowly growing industry.
The electric revolution has not happened despite the government offering a £5,000 grant to new owners. In order to combat this many local clubs are spearheading a new campaign to raise awareness about electric vehicles.
It is hoped that with many different types of car club on board the message about the environmentally friendly aspects of motoring can be communicated to enthusiasts and the everyday public.
In the future the plan will be upscaled to allow car club members discounts when purchasing electric vehicles, and to allow car clubs to showcase the latest designs at shows and events.
