Description:
Clio16valver was created by Gav back in 2006 as a very small side project using a phpbb forum on a free hosted webspace. The idea came about when it was realised that there were clubs out there for mk2's, sports, v6's and even mk1 williams clios but nothing for the orginal mk1 clio 16v (valver). So with that in mind Clio16v.com was born.

With the aid of a few cheeky adverts on ebay and word of mouth the clio16v community grew quickly, to quickly in fact, we were running out of bandwidth within weeks on this free server space. So we decided to bite the bullet and buy some server space. We did this with a company called circlehosting and sported the very sexy domain name www.clio16valver.circlehosting.com!

The club carried on growing pulling interest from every angle, members, posts, pictures, articles everything that is awesome on a community based website we had and it was growing, again exceeding bandwidth limitations within weeks.

Clio16valver has been and will always be a club that loves to meet up with anyone and everyone who share the same passion that we have for these MK1 cars of love, we had our 1st meet at Santa Pod where we managed to pull in a whopping 2 members for the meet, but either way, it was a meet and it was a good laugh. Since that day we have been arranging meets non stop and on our second trip to santa pod we managed to pull in a massive 34 cars and we dominated the drag strip! (pictures of this meet are coming soon so keep checking the archives)

Clio16valver today boasts a massive online community that is always ready to meet up, help out and offer support, advice and a shoulder to cry on when these trusty hatchbacks decide to break on us. We now have one of the most secure and biggest server packages we know of any car club to have and believe me, we need it!

To this day Clio16valver, its members, staff and users are improving everything we do, from exceeding attendance levels at every show we go to, to making sure your club is always running, is always up to date and it is ALWAYS offering you the best of whatever it is you want and need for your mk1 Clio 16v
