Description:
The Colne Valley Classic & Vintage Club was formed in 1989 to encourage interest in historic, vintage & classic cars and motorcycles. The club has no special allegiance to specific makes or models of vehicle, rather it encourages members with a general interest in classic and vintage motoring. With this open agenda the club is able to attract members of all ages and background - many members bringing their partners and family to club events.

The club meets on the second Thursday of each month at the White Hart in Great Yeldham, between Halstead and Haverhill (see "Link" for directions/details). These meetings often feature a guest speaker - past meetings have covered talks on Orreries (planetary instruments), Brooklands, Shelsley Walsh & wire wheel building. Many talks have a motoring slant, but many are of general interest. Other evenings feature "Noggin & Natter" nights and we hold both an annual car & bike concours (where members vote for the car/bike they'd most like to own). We also hold mid day meet ups on the fourth Thursday of each month at various locations (contact us for specific details of where!). We try & organise club runs throughout the year to local places of interest. The club holds it's annual dinner each January/February where various trophies are presented to members. All events have one objective in common - to have an enjoyable social event, using our classic and vintage transport in the process.

For more details on the CVCVC & what we can offer you, please drop an email to us & we'll make arrangements to post you a copy of one of our latest monthly magazines (which covers a review of past and planned events, interesting articles submitted by members and any other topics of interest to members).
