Description: To join Brighton Mini Club iit is easy just turn up to meetings and have lots of fun. We would like to welcome you to Brighton Mini Club, and hope you enjoy being part of our mini minded community, and the benefits that come with it. The club started in November 1999 with Myself printing out a few flyers and sticking them on Mini’s around Brighton. At the same time, I was also on the net on the old Mini Magazine forum where there was a few others from around Sussex. We all got together about four of us one day in November down on Madeira drive.  We decided to meet again a few times just by going out for drives and helping each other with our minis. We soon got more members so decided to find a meeting place this was at the swan inn at falmer as it was a bit warmer. We proceeded to find out more about the mini scene and started to go to shows all around the UK. We had been to a few previous but were now having club stands and getting to be part of the show. We have now done most of the shows and proceed to do so, and there are always new ones to partake in all the time. The amount of members always seems to be around 40. This is great, as you always know the people in the club. If it was too big, I think it would lose its charm and would not feel as close knit as it does. We have done a couple of small shows behind the Swan inn, which were successful, and we raised £600 between them for the rockinghorse appeal. We now hold our show at the Adur recreation ground Shoreham; it has had a few successful years and has now become an annual event. I hope you enjoy our club and have lots of mini madness along the way. Meetings Club meetings take place every second Tuesday of the month at the Swan Inn at Falmer. This meet normally starts at the pub and then ends in going for a cruise around Brighton town and the lanes. We also meet on the last Sunday of the month. These meets are normally ’activity’ meetings and we go for cruises, picnics, bowling, BBQ‘s, days at the park and much more. If anyone has any ideas of what they would like to do on one of these meets, or would even like to organise a meet then go for it.
