Lancashire And District Sevens (L.A.D.S.) are a group of enthusiasts
who are part of the Lotus 7 Club and we are mad about Caterham and Lotus
7s and meet formally on the first Wednesday of each month http://lads7.co.uk/area%20meeting.html
. We organise “blats” around the North of England to explore some of
the best driving roads. We also attend various car rallies, including
the Stoneleigh Kit Car show and we organise a Lotus 7 club presence at
the Woodvale Rally near Formby. A number of our members take part in
track days at various circuits including local ones such as Oulton Park
and Angelsey and we normally hire Curborough Sprint Course a couple of
times each year for our members to explore their cars limits. A number
of our members visit the Le Mans 24 hour race each year and in 2008 some
visited the Le Mans Classic.
Our members are a varied bunch including young and old and partners
are encouraged to get involved. Virtually all models of 7 are
represented in our membership from the more powerful track oriented cars
to the tourers. Most members undertake servicing and repairs on their
own cars and we try to assist new owners by providing good advice and
practical help..
