The Mini was produced by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its several subsequent companies from 1959 until 2000. The iconic status of the original model led to the creation of many fan clubs and car owners clubs so that enthusiasts could get together and show appreciation for their Mini. There were many high profile owners of Minis, meaning that many saw it as the car to have if you wanted to keep up with current trends. In a poll in 1999 the Mini was voted the second most influential car of the 20th Century, following the Ford Model T.

Although manufacturing began at the BMC sites of Longbridge and Cowley the Mini was soon produced all over the world, in countries such as Australia, Spain, Chile, Italy and as far as South Africa. Obviously this gave a more global market for the Mini and therefore spread the fan base and further car clubs around the world. Today there is still a huge degree of support for the Mini and there are car clubs around the world for this much loved car.

Several versions for the original mini were leased before manufacturing ceased in 2000. They included the original Mini Mark I the Mark II, the Clubman and the Mark III. These different models had a range of changes and updates, such as forming an estate car, a truck even the Mini Moke, which was a small buggy. Sportier versions were also released and proved to be very successful in motor racing, winning the Monte Carlo Rally four times from 1964 through to 1967. This Mini Cooper S has provided the basis for many clubs to start their own racing groups and clubs. These clubs host their own events throughout the year and allow others to come and try racing Mini style!

The reintroduction of the Mini my new owners BMW came in 2001. The new styling attracted even more fans and the car is now a firm favourite in its class. This new model began a whole new world of Mini appreciation and many new clubs dedicated to both models sprung up around the country.

Mini car clubs around the world take part in a wide range of activities and events. These clubs aim to help you get the most from your Mini and to allow you to get to know other owners and share experiences and tips. Mini car clubs also frequently attend charity events with many raising lots of money for very worthy causes. The community and associated car clubs offer an exciting world to owners and enthusiasts.

Take the time to look at the car clubs for Mini fans here on Just Car Clubs. We aim to put you in contact with as many car clubs as possible so that you can find the best clubs for your needs. Whether you are looking for regional car clubs on your doorstep, or want to be a member of some of the nationwide car clubs, you can find them here on Just Car Clubs!
