Description: The Wolseley Register in the Midlands The Midlands Region covers an area bordered by Gloucestershire, Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire and Wales. A variety of local and national events are supported with members and visitors being welcomed to the Wolseley stand at indoor and outdoor shows such as the Stoneleigh Restoration Show and the Footman James Classic Motor Show at the NEC. Monthly social meetings are currently organised in the North of the Region, on the second Thursday of the month at The Parson & Clerk, Streetly. There are also regular opportunities to meet with other local classic car enthusiasts in the Worcestershire/Warwickshire area. There is a wealth of knowledge in the Region covering a cross-section of Wolseley models, which local members are very willing to share. Activities are organised in and around the Midlands along with excursions to other areas, providing an opportunity to meet with Wolseley owners from other Regions. This year, the Register celebrates the centenary of the birth of car designer Gerald Palmer, and examples of his work will be the focus of 2011 events around the UK.
