US Car Club Donates Generously

A spectacular parade of eighteen classic Corvettes delivered $4,500 to the office of the Garfield County Child Advocacy Council on Monday. The money was a gift from the Corvettes of Enid car club.

This is the fourth year that the car club has supported the Child Advocacy Council, which in itself is a response team designed to tackle the growing problem of child abuse. It is a safe place for children to come after child abuse is reported amongst other things.

A specially trained interviewer will work with the children and make recommendations that are the best thing for the child's health and well being.

The Corvettes of Enid car club also donate to a number of other charities, but some of the members are CASA volunteers so it is easy to understand why there is an affinity to this particular organisation.

The car club itself has existed for twenty-one years and each year they hold a fundraiser at an annual car show.
